Player Development Program​

Our Player Development Program provides structured baseball instruction in a small group setting for local youth who may not have access to private lessons or travel teams. Participation does not require travel, specialized gear, or prior experience.

• Free or low-cost training sessions

• Access to playing fields and development facility

• Small group instruction

• No uniform or equipment barriers

• Open to first-time players and multi-sport athletes

Equipment Access & Gear Library

​

No athlete is excluded due to lack of equipment. The Flying Chanclas maintain a community gear library supported by donations and reuse.

• Shared helmets, bats, catcher’s gear

• Donated cleats and gloves

• Equipment reuse across seasons

Tournament Travel Program

​

• Subsidized tournament fees when funding is available

• Centralized carpool coordination and planning

• Travel stipends when possible

• Travel is optional, not mandatory to participation in the development program

Financial Assistance Program

• Sliding-scale fees

• Scholarships available

• No child turned away due to financial hardship

Community Give Back Program​

The Flying Chanclas believe that opportunity comes with responsibility. Through our Community Give Back Program, athletes are taught that being part of the organization means giving back to the community that supports them.

Participation in community service is a core expectation of Flying Chanclas athletes—especially those who travel. Service is not optional or symbolic; it is part of player development. Flying Chanclas players participate in age-appropriate community service activities such as:

• Assisting with youth clinics and free community baseball days

• Field clean-ups and park beautification projects

• Equipment drives and gear redistribution

• Supporting local nonprofit events and community initiatives

• Mentoring and helping younger athletes in development programs

• These activities are designed to be accessible to all families and are coordinated locally to avoid additional financial burden.
