Community Give Back Program
The Flying Chanclas believe that opportunity comes with responsibility. Through our Community Give Back Program, athletes are taught that being part of the organization means giving back to the community that supports them.
Participation in community service is a core expectation of Flying Chanclas athletes—especially those who travel. Service is not optional or symbolic; it is part of player development. Flying Chanclas players participate in age-appropriate community service activities such as:
-
Assisting with youth clinics and free community baseball days
-
Field clean-ups and park beautification projects
-
Equipment drives and gear redistribution
-
Supporting local nonprofit events and community initiatives
-
Mentoring and helping younger athletes in development programs
-
These activities are designed to be accessible to all families and are coordinated locally to avoid additional financial burden.
Why It Matters
The Community Give Back Program reinforces core values beyond the field:
-
Accountability
-
Leadership
-
Gratitude
-
Community pride
Athletes learn that they are not just beneficiaries of opportunity—they are contributors to it.
